Signature Healthcare hit by cyberattack

Signature Healthcare and Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital activated incident response protocols after detecting suspicious network activity that disrupted parts of their information systems. The outage forced the system onto downtime procedures and alternative documentation workflows, while inpatient care, emergency walk-in services, surgeries, endoscopy, ambulatory practices, and urgent care remained open with expected delays. Ambulances were diverted, chemotherapy infusion services for Tuesday were canceled, and two retail pharmacies were closed. Leaders said outside resources were brought in to investigate and restore operations.
